“Kaman.”

While Jiwoo was whispering to Kaman, Skiass shot them a look.

“I can hear everything you know.”

Then, pulling Jiwoo’s arm away from his own head, he pressed a kiss to the back of her hand.

“And you’re one to talk. You got all worked up like a dog and pounced on Jiwoo, just because her arm was pinned down and she couldn’t escape.”

“…Oops.”

“It’s a good thing I fixed her in place. Imagine if you’d shaken her around in the middle of something important. And besides…”

Without moving, Skiass rolled his eyes toward Kaman’s ear, clearly eyeing it. His vision must be sharp, he’d already spotted the tiny hole in Kaman’s earlobe.

Kaman didn’t even bother to hide it, just flicked his ear to show it off.

“Thief.”

“Maybe you should look after your things better.”

“I’m telling Solmih.”

“Oh, and what exactly is Solmih going to do to me?”

Apparently, both of them were well aware they’d done things Solmih shouldn’t find out about. Especially since Kaman had been a bit rougher than usual.

Still, Jiwoo hoped neither of them would actually get in trouble over this. Honestly, she was starting to like having secret little moments with her husbands. Maybe it was rubbing off on her, but these little ‘adventures’ were becoming fun.

Even that fantasy mushroom date she’d gone on with Tevon, which had gotten them into trouble, had been fun because it was a bit risky.

“…If I keep this secret, no one else will know, right?”

“Mm-hmm.”

“…Well, they’ll probably find out eventually.”

The truth was, it was hard to hide things from her other husbands anyway. But this wasn’t the time for that conversation, there were more important matters to deal with.

Skiass had wanted to check Jiwoo’s condition first, and Jiwoo needed to give him some well-deserved praise, but there was still another task left unfinished.

“We still have another request to take care of, remember? That…”

Actually, it had been on her mind for a while. The inside of the tree Skiass had worked in all night was now softly glowing. Even in the daylight, it shimmered as if it was holding onto the moonlight.

The three of them got up and checked around the tree.

It didn’t feel like the usual presence of Ellandos, but the children of Ellandos seemed to find such energy sacred.

“Do you think it worked?”

They were requested to go on a date in this area, just in case Akarna could create another Ellandos. It had sounded like a silly request, and Jiwoo hadn’t really believed it would do anything, but now it looked like some change had happened after all.

“Well, we should let them know to come and check, right?”

“Tell Kaman to go get them.”

But this time, Skiass spoke up firmly, expressing his opinion.

“I think I deserve a reward, you know. A real one.”

“Alright, alright, I get it.”

Kaman lifted both hands in surrender.

“I’ll go get them, Jiwoo.”

“Okay.”

Once Kaman left, Skiass pulled Jiwoo into a hug and, like Kaman earlier, rested his chin on the top of her head.

Her husbands really were spoiled.

Skiass waited until Kaman had fully turned his back and disappeared from sight before quietly calling her name.

“Jiwoo.”

“Ung?”

She could feel him swallow nervously right above her.

“Did I do well?”

“Huh? Of course you did! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. You worked so hard…”

“Then do this for me.”

Not missing his chance, Skiass handed something to Jiwoo. It was the piercing kit and earrings from last night that Kaman had gotten to use first.

Even though Kaman had gotten there first, there was nothing stopping them from using the same pin again. He clearly wanted Jiwoo to pierce his ear and put on the jewelry.

He looked up at her like a puppy begging for a treat, and Jiwoo, unable to refuse, took the pin.

“And you need to do the tattoo here, too.”

“Did, didn’t we already do that?”

Looks like he really wasn’t going to give up on that.

Skiass, who’d been looking down, now stared at Jiwoo with burning golden eyes.

“I’ll find a different way to do it this time…”

She suddenly remembered what Kaman had said all night. The children of Ellandos might not look like it, but they were all cunning, and if you gave them an inch, they’d never stop.

“So promise me.”

That’s why she can’t just keep giving in, he’d said.

Jiwoo was well aware that she was getting swept along by them, but she just couldn’t bring herself to say no.

“…Alright.”

But Skiass wasn’t just content with a promise. He immediately took Jiwoo’s hand.

“Um, over there looks good.”

He glanced around, then laid out a handkerchief over a mossy rock and motioned for her to sit. Kneeling politely in front of her, he looked up at her with innocent eyes.

Jiwoo glanced at the pin in her hand, then at Skiass, who was looking up at her so sweetly.

He really meant for her to do it right here, right now.

“Are you really okay with this?”

“I want you to do it, Jiwoo. Now. Please.”

“I’m not that good at it, so it might hurt a bit…”

Why did it feel like he was so eager, almost desperate? Was it just stubbornness about being first, or because Kaman had beat him to it?

Without a word, Skiass shuffled closer on his knees.

In the end, Jiwoo gave in. She reached out and touched his ear to relax him, just as she had with Kaman. She lightly stroked his earlobe and the curve of his ear, which twitched in response.

“Uht.”

“Did that hurt?”

“…No.”

“Then I’ll start here.”

Without dragging it out, Jiwoo quickly pushed the pin through the soft flesh of his earlobe.

Thunk. With a tiny sound, the pin pierced through.

“Whew…”

Thankfully, not even a drop of blood appeared. She’d done it once already, so this time it went smoothly. As Jiwoo was about to pull her hand away, Skiass grabbed her wrist.

“Here too.”

But Skiass wasn’t satisfied.

He pointed along the curve of his ear, even up to the pointed tip.
